Susan hailed from Scotland. She was a feisty lady who valued her independence greatly. For many years, she managed to live on her own, even as her health began to fail, refusing to accept care and managing on her own. In her early nineties, she was still walking to the store to get her groceries and doing all her own housework. Eventually, however, in the last year of her life, she required assistance, but she was able to remain in her home, as she wished, until her final illness about two weeks before her passing..
Susan was predeceased by her husband , Alexander ( Sanny) Crawford.
She is survived by Alec Crawford of Glasgow , his wife, Betty and grandchildren , Graham and Fraser all of Scotland; and Anne MacDonald of Victoria, Christine Bridel of Whitehorse, and Julianna MacDonald and Josh MacDonald both of Victoria.
There will be no funeral service . Susan’s ashes will be interred at Royal Oak beside those of her adored husband.
