Terri was born on March 4th, 1945 in Victoria, BC. During her youth Terri loved to be by the water, either sailing or playing in the surf. She had a small dog named Tony and her fondest memories were when she would be with her friends at the beach or a dance then going for chips after.
She has 4 children which she also raised in Victoria. In her employment years Terri worked for the BC Government, but happily retired at the age of 50. Also, during that time she ran 2 successful daycare Centres’, which she loved and really enjoyed the children who always welcomed her with open arms. Never one to be idle, she went on to obtain her Home Care Worker Certificate at 50, Massage Therapy license at age 53 and was a successful entrepreneur in real estate. For many years Terri often worked 14-hour days to achieve her goals. She also continued working as a Mental Health Worker until she was 70. One of her biggest dreams was to open up a B&B Spa by the water.
Terri thrived on new challenges and experiences. When she was not working you could find Terri doing one of her various hobbies such as Soap Making, Massage Therapy, Reflexology, Utilizing Essential Oils or designing clothing for herself and others to enjoy. Terri loved to sing and dance and was told by multiple people how amazing her voice was. Warm sunny destinations were also her passion, with Mexico’s weather and culture being her favorite place to travel.
Terri was a kind, courageous, spirited and caring woman who leaves behind her children Yvonne (Darian), Jason and Nicole and two grandchildren, Dathaniel and Connor.
In addition, at this time the family is not having a funeral service, but we encourage donations to Alzheimer’s Society of Canada to find a way to help people being afflicted with this disease and will be having a celebration of life at a later date.
