We are so sorry to hear about Tom’s passing. He, with Lorraine, were wise and helpful colleagues who contributed significantly to Carol’s business success. More importantly, Tom and Lorraine were friends. It is the loss of our friend that we grieve.

The four of us spent so many conferences together, travelling and laughing.  We had some very happy times together.

Tom was one of the best friends I would ever have had. Every winter, for maybe the last 15 years he was extremely generous and kind in many ways with a lot of Mexican persons on his vacation periods in Puerto Vallarta. But no one had so much from him but me.
He was a worthy representative of the Canadian people in Mexico, respectful and polite, he was very much appreciated for everybody in the building in which he used to stay in Mexico.
I always had the feeling that he knew me better than I knew him, with his sense of smell that only years of expertise provides. He was supportive in times of need, understanding in difficult times and always willing to provide a piece of advice when needed it. (As true friends are)
The soul of my friend Tom (according to our ancient Mexican beliefs) it’s allowed to visit me once a year during our day of the deaths. He has his place in my Altar next to my deceased Parents and our dear mutual friend Paul G. As tradition, he will have at his disposal a bottle of Canadian club and crispy bacon (two of his favorite in this world).
Doris heart and mine are with our always loved Lorraine and the rest of the family.

My thoughts and heart is with you Lorraine and all of your family on your loss of Tom. All of us friends will miss Tom too. So many memories  and great times over  the last 30 years.  I always enjoyed our insurance industry chats and I know Tom did too.   He loved what he did!

My wife Evie and I became neighbors and friends with Tom and Lorraine, in Coquitlam in about 1975. We have remained best friends to this day. So many great memories together: Mexico, Mammit Lake, Palm Desert, New Mexico, Ucluelet, Boating Indian Arm, RV trip thru Reno, to name a few. Rest in peace Tom. You are loved and you are missed.

What comes to mind for me about Tom is the song "For the Good Times" of which we shared so many with our family and friends whether it be in Victoria, Mexico or Palm Desert.  So many good memories.  RIP my friend.

Dear Lorraine, 
I was so saddened to hear of Thom’s passing.  He was a kind and generous man and truly one of my favourite people I’ve met along the long road of life.  We had many good times together, usually over Dim Sum at Don Mees or some other out of the way place that only he knew about. He was always up for a laugh and I can always hear his voice guffawing away in my mind whenever I think of him.  Most importantly, Thom was a man of character and integrity, always willing to stand up for the underdog - which is why I liked him so much.  I will miss him.  My sincerest condolences.
