We are very sad to announce the passing of Vadim Reniger on January 27, 2021, at the Victoria General Hospital in Victoria, BC. He is survived by his mother Nina Reniger, brothers Walter and Alexander Reniger, and uncle Jim, aunt Denise and his many cousins.
Vadim moved to Victoria from Montreal in 1992 and decided to make Victoria his permanent home. After a few years, he met his wife Lucille Reniger (Haasjes), and they were married for 18 years. Vadim worked in Human Resources with both the federal and provincial governments, where he made many good friends. He loved music and really enjoyed playing his guitars (bass first and foremost), keyboard and drums. He also had so much love for animals and enjoyed camping and the great outdoors with his dogs Abby & Milo. Vadim will be greatly missed by all those whose lives he touched and who all came through in his last days with their thoughts, encouragement and tremendous compassion. We thank them all for their caring and love.
There will be no service, and his ashes will be laid to rest with his father Walter V. Reniger at the Russian cemetery in Rawdon, Quebec, just outside of Montreal. In memory of Vadim, donations can be made to his favorite charity, the SPCA.
