Billy Davis Mouliere passed away on Monday, November 12, 2018. He was a native of Louisiana, born July 28, 1939 in Bunkie, Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana to parents, Davis Jules Mouliere and Mary Leona Walker Mouliere. He graduated from Bolton High School in Alexandria, Louisiana.
Billy enlisted into the U.S. Marines right after graduating from high school in 1957 and shipped out to Yokohama & Kamiseya, Japan as a cryptographer with top secret clearance. Before shipping out, he wed Dorothy Elizabeth Silman on February 17, 1958 in Imperial Beach, California. To this union, they were blessed with four children, Billy Dewayne, Sheila Marie, Linda Darlene, and James Michael.
After returning from Japan, Billy attended and graduated from LSU in 1968, then immediately went to work for Tennessee Gas Pipeline as a Technical Engineer with MBA and transferred to Morehead, Kentucky. After 5 more transfers to Louisiana, Houston, Minnesota, Indiana, and back to Texas, he retired from El Paso Gas Pipeline and the family’s last move was to Victoria.
Billy’s hobbies after retirement were attending auctions and going to garage sales, but his main focus was the annual Walker Family Reunion in Louisiana. He worked with Hospice of South Texas. He was an avid bowler and loved bowling at the Century Lanes of Victoria.
Billy was preceded in death by his father, Davis Jules Mouliere in June 1997 and mother, Mary Leona Walker Mouliere in March 1983.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Dorothy Mouliere of Victoria; children, Billy Dewayne Mouliere and wife Tammy of New Waverly, Texas, Sheila Marie Mouliere Liccketto and husband Todd of Meadows Place, Texas, Linda Darlene Mouliere Short of Victoria, and James Michael Mouliere and wife Vicky of Baytown, Texas; grandchildren, Amanda Marie Short Erickson and husband Steve of Big Stone Gap, Virginia, and Crystal Lynn Mouliere of Baytown, Texas; great granddaughter, Mailey Erickson; step-grandchildren, Andrea Miller of Kileen, Texas, Ashley Mancha, Joshua Mancha, and Nathan Mancha of Baytown, Texas; step-great grandchildren, Bryland and Beau Miller; and Kayden, Colton, Heidi, Weslee, and Chloe Mancha; siblings, James Moise Mouliere and Nancy Ellen Mouliere Gremillion, both of Alexandria, Louisiana; godson, Keith Mouliere; and many nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Colonial Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Northside Baptist Church, Rev. Tim Williams officiating.
Final resting place will be held in Vanderburg Cemetery, Bayou Chicot, Louisiana.
