

Bradley John Thompson, 58, of San Antonio passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013, surrounded by his family. He was born July 6, 1954, in Victoria to the late John Paul and Glady Mae Sauer Thompson. He was a graduate of Victoria High School.
Brad was a Project Manager of USAA Construction Division in San Antonio for 18 years. A loving husband and father, his family was the love of his life. He enjoyed playing golf and especially enjoyed listening to music by the Beatles. He was a wannabe magician with many card tricks to keep you entertained. His quick wit, wonderful sense of humor and soft spoken manner made him a joy to know. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Victoria for many years. It was there that he opened his heart to Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. His name is written in the Book of Life.
Brad is survived by his former wife, Debra Lynn Hoerig Thompson of San Antonio; son, John Scott Thompson-Speck and wife, Sandy of Victoria; daughter, Amanda Renee Zamora and husband, Robert of San Antonio; and son, Eric Bradley Thompson of San Antonio. He is also survived by his brother, Rodney (Rod) Thompson and wife, Merle of Victoria; and his sister, Phyllis Ridgway-Holcomb and husband, Tom of Rockport. His precious grandchildren are Madison Speck of Victoria and Caden Zamora of San Antonio.
Visitation will be from 9:00 – 10:30 am Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Rosewood Funeral Chapel, with funeral services following at 11:00 am with Rev. Mickey Ewing officiating. Burial will take place at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be John Thompson-Speck, Robert Zamora, Rod Thompson, Kenneth Smith, Phil Luther and Tommy Holcomb. Honorary pallbearers will be his son, Eric Thompson and Mark Belcik.
Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army in Victoria or San Antonio.
