

She was an assistant manager at Duffy’s Lawn & Garden and a team leader for Chick-Fil-A and retired in 2005.
Since 2004, Danita battled breast cancer, her spirit and will to live never broke.
Survivors include her parents; very dear friend, Sandy Culpepper; daughter, Sheena L. Vahalik and husband Gregory; brother, Douglas Duran and wife Kay; niece, Sara Duran; nephews, Ben (fiancé, Sara Bigelow), Josh and Sam (wife, Dana) Duran; grandchildren, Tristan and Kimber Vahalik; and Buddy, her loving pet.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 20, 2016 from 5 - 7 pm at Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral service to be held 10:00 am, Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Martin Luther Lutheran Church. Burial to follow at Coletoville Cemetery.
A special thank you to St. Luke’s Baptist Hospital, Methodist Hospital, both in San Antonio and Hospice of South Texas for Danita’s care. The family requests guests to bring photos of Danita to share. Memorial donations may be made to defray funeral expenses.
