Minga and her late ex-husband ran their home construction business for many years, she later sold life insurance, then transitioned into healthcare where she worked for Victoria Regional Medical center (Detar) till she retired. She worked as a seamstress, and she turned a hobby she learned into a full-time job, where she met some amazing people. From curtains to wedding dresses, she worked her magic making one-of-a-kind pieces. She made everyone feel like they were family anytime they came into her home. She was the best cook, salsa maker, baker, and was especially known for her famous empanadas. She had the fullest garden where she spent countless hours picking weeds, watering, and harvesting the sweetest tomatoes. If you were ever over during one of those days, you left with a bag full of goodies, homemade relish, pickles, jams, and even some fresh-laid eggs. Minga never met a stranger. Everyone she spoke with somehow became instant friends. She cared about people's needs and made sure they knew exactly what they meant to her. She was contagious; to know her was to love her. She had a certain elegance to her, and her presence was always known. Minga lived with purpose, thoughtfulness, and grace, and she leaves behind a legacy in her family.
