Franklin Thomas Sternadel, age 83, of Victoria, Texas passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024. Franklin was born December 7, 1940, in Praha, Texas to the late Albert and Emma Sternadel. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn, with whom he shared 53 years of marriage; sisters, Joyce Barker, Lanelle Blinka, and Mildred Vesely; and brother Butch Sternadel.
Franklin is survived by his sons Kelly Sternadel (Rene) and Dean Sternadel (Tisha); sister, Lucille Janecka; brother, Leonard Sternadel; close friend, Angie Smith; and many nieces and nephews.
After serving his country in the U.S. Army, Franklin worked at Alcoa for 35 years before retiring. He was a member of the Holy Family Knights of Columbus Council 9088 and the Victoria Civilian Police Alumni Academy Association. He enjoyed sailing, wood carving, and spending time with family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 from 10:00-10:30am, with rosary beginning at 10:30am at Holy Family Catholic Church. Funeral mass will begin at 11:00am, with inurnment services following at Resurrection Cemetery.
