

Grace Margaret DeTar Anderson, 91, of Victoria passed away Friday, December 12, 2014. She was born October 10, 1923, in Victoria to the late Webb T. and Grace Duff DeTar. Mrs. Anderson graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. She was very involved in the community life of Victoria through membership in the Jr. League, the Court of Six Flags, serving on the board of directors for the Brownson Home, and active in Bridge League. She was also a long time member of Trinity Episcopal Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Fox of Denver Colorado; sons, Dr. Nevin Anderson and wife, Pam, and Douglas Lanier Anderson, all of Victoria; grandchildren, Richard Layne Fox, Jr., Webb DeTar Fox, Grace Caroline Anderson and Collier Spence Anderson; great-grandchildren, Nicolas Conde Fox, Rekland Lanier Anderson and Riley Grace Fox; cousin Beverly Dupree Connally.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Conde Nevin Anderson, Sr.; daughter, Margaret Duff Anderson; grandson, Conde Anderson III; sister Valerie DeTar Smith and a brother, Dr. Webb DeTar, Jr.
The family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00 pm on Sunday, December 14, 2014, at Rosewood Funeral Chapels.
Funeral services will be Monday, December 15, 2014, at 1:00 pm at Trinity Episcopal Church, Rev. Jim Kee’Rees, Rev. Russ Mathews and Rev. Bur Dobbins officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Richard Layne Fox, Jr., Webb DeTar Fox, Collier Spence Anderson, William Clayton Barbee, Jr., Jacob Edward Mente, William Connally and Thomas Zachery Hamm.
Memorials may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church or Brownson Home.
