Harvey Eugene Wagner, 83, of Victoria, Texas, passed away on December 10, 2023 surrounded by family. He was born on October 21, 1940, in Breslau, Texas to Lillie and Willie Wagner. He was the second of six brothers, growing up on the family farm. He graduated from Hallettsville High School. Harvey moved to Victoria to work. Harvey and Carol Bouldin Wagner started a family in 1963.
Harvey was a dedicated employee and retired from the DuPont Victoria Plant. He loved gardening with his family and creating a pristine lawn of carpet grass. Outside of his professional life, Harvey had a passion for rebuilding cars, trucks, and SUVs. It was a hobby that brought him joy and fulfillment. Harvey was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Cathedral and an active member of the Knights of Columbus, a fellowship he was proud to be a part of.
Harvey is survived by his loving daughter, Alicia Tillotson,(Randy Tillotson) and son Chris Wagner (Chrissy Wagner). He was also cherished by his grandchildren, Clara Tillotson and CJ Wagner. He is survived by three brothers, John, Larry, and Patrick and many nieces and nephews.
Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, Lillie and Willie Wagner, his granddaughter Jean Alayne Tillotson, his children’s mother, Carol Bouldin Wagner, his brother Bill Wagner, his brother Daniel Wagner, and his wife Patricia Cox.
Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, December 19, 2023 from 10-11 am with a rosary to be recited at 11am. A funeral service to honor Harvey's life will follow at 11:30 am at Rosewood Funeral Chapel located at 3304 E. Mockingbird Ln, Victoria, Texas 77904.
