Irene "Mina" Martinez

She is survived by the love of her life for 50 years, her husband, Julian Martinez, Jr. of Victoria; her son, Michael Alen (Jaime) Martinez of Austin; her father, Santiago Rodriguez of Bishop; grandson, Zachery Julian Martinez of San Antonio; 3 granddaughters, Amanda Martinez of Victoria, Azura Sky and Violet Star of Austin; great-grandson, Michael Julian and great-granddaughter, Mandy Ray Ortiz; two sisters, Esther Brown and Hopie (Henry) Molina of Victoria; brother, Msgt. Santiago (Elizabeth) Rodriguez of Alamogordo, New Mexico; daughter-in-law, Nora Ramos Martinez of San Antonio.

In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by her beloved son, Julian Martinez III.

The family will receive friends at 1:00 pm on Sunday, September 7, 2014. A prayer service will follow at 6:00 pm and a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Monday, September 8, 2014, at Holy Trinity Chapel. Burial will follow at Thomaston Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Rocky Martinez, Jeff Cano, Sam Garcia, Jr., Joe Driscoll, Jr., Charlie Brown and Gilbert Robles.

Honorary pallbearers will be Santiago Rodriguez IV, Jimmy Pena, Christopher Rodriguez, Joe Anthony Pena, Henry Molina, Jr., Moses Molina, Gabriel Molina and Joseph Martinez.

The Floral Committee will be Azura Martinez, Violet Martinez, Mandy Ortiz, Lillie Garza, Luisa Villegas and Briana Bobowski.
