

Jack Donald Davig, 80, of Victoria passed away Monday, March 31, 2014. He was born December 27, 1933, in Victoria to the late Clarence A. and Ruby Ida Lawson Davig. He retired from Union Carbide after 39 years of service as a chemical laboratory supervisor. He was also a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.
He is survived by his wife, Carrol Smith Davig; daughter, Debbie Murray and husband, Tim, all of Victoria; grandchildren, Creed Murray and fiancé, Kacey Conley, Feather Diebel and husband, Brian, Dale Davig and wife, Stacy and Tiffany Hilburn and husband, Joel; five great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Lynette Hyak Davig, and his son, Dale D. Davig, Sr.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 Thursday, April 3, 2014, at Rosewood Funeral Chapels.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Friday, April 4, 2014, at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. Burial with flag folding under the auspices of the Victoria Veterans Council will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Dale Davig, Jr., Tim Murray, Creed Murray, Brian Diebel, Blaise Murray and Gary Marshall.
Honorary pallbearer will be Curtis Kerth.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
