My deepest and most heartfelt condolences to all of Jean's family and those who knew and loved her.

Jean was one of the very first ladies to join my Red Hat chapter.  She called to ask about joining and I invited her to stop by my office for an initial meet and greet.  We hit it off immediately and she joined on the spot.

It was while getting to know one another at one of our early Red Hat gatherings that we realized we both knew people from Tivoli.  A little further in the conversation, I learned that my family had lived across the street from Jean's sister Ann.  Our families had been friends in the late 50's.

Margaret, Was so sorry to read about Jean.  Been years since I’ve seen her, but she was such a nice lady.  My best to you and your family.  Will keep you and yours in my prayers.  Donna Sweet

I remember a time that Jean would not come out of her room at all. She would put up a debate about how pointless it was to come out of her room. One night she came out to give me back her nasal spray I left in her room and brought it all the way out to my nursing desk. She complained about the water she was drinking, flavor less. I said "You know what, we have a vending machine in the lounge. Would you like to go get a powered, or sprite. " Then she said "Do I have to walk all the way over there?". I said "No. Sit on your walker and we will push you there and back in no time." She looked like a little girl having fun riding so comfortable on her own walker instead of the wheelchair. She laughed all the way through the long hallway got her drink at 3am and all 5 hallways were hers for the the night at TwnPN nursing home. She got to say hi to the nurses on the other hallways and see the call lights on instead of hearing them. Realize that night shifts are busy in a quite way...lol she started to come out more often and always had her 15- 20 minutes of her nurse keyla to sit with her just to hear her out at night and get feelings out of her chest to sleep better.  
My condolences to her family.  Will miss her waiting for me to have 15 min conversation about whatever she wanted.  Wish I could have taken pictures of her that night, she smiled big.

My condolences to Jean's family. She was love respected by all who knew her. She was committed to serving the less fortunate. Well done thou good and faithful servant; you have earned your Eternal Rest in God's presence.
