

He was employed by the City of Victoria at the Pump House, in the 1940’s. He then started his own trucking company called, Brzozowske Trucking Company. In the early 1960’s he went to work for the Martin O’Connor Cattle Company and remained there for over 40 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Cathedral, The Knights of Columbus, and the South Texas Cattle Raisers Association.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 76 years, Sophie T. Brzozowske, his sons John Edward Brzozowske and William Ted Brzozowske.
He is survived by daughters Elizabeth Jean Birdwell and husband Jerry, of Ashville, North Carolina, Kathleen Kickendahl and husband Bill, of Victoria; sons Julius Paul Brzozowske and wife Lillas, of Victoria and Dr. Walter Travis Brzozowske and wife Sharon, of Victoria. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 4th at 6 p.m. with a rosary following at 7 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home, 1801 E. Red River, Victoria, 578-3535. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 5th at Our Lady of Victory Cathedral with Msgr. Michael Harrold officiating. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Pall Bearers will be three of his grandsons, John (Bo) Brzozowske, Paul Brzozowske and Justin Brzozowske; great-grandsons, Ryan Hessler, Andrew Sanders and Isaac Brzozowske. Honorary Pall Bearers are his grandsons, Scott Birdwell and Kent Birdwell.
The family would like to give a special thanks to his caregivers Susan Vargas, Grace Garcia, Georgette Cuellar and Crowne Hospice.
