Mark a man of great humor and quick wit, was born on August 15, 1957 in Peoria, Illinois. Although not born in Texas in his heart he was a Texan and would tell you he got here as quick as he could. Mark was a loud and passionate fan of the Texas Longhorns (Hook ‘Em) and the Dallas Cowboys.
Mark was the beloved son of Roger William Dean, Sr. and Beverly Jean Dean of Austin, Texas. Mark was so proud of his father’s military service and appreciated their military life style, even graduating from high school in 1974 from Clark Air Force Base High school in the Philippines. Mark was also a graduate of Southwest School of Electronics, Austin, Texas with a degree in Electronics.
Mark met his match, Joyce Cavazos Dean on a dance floor in Austin and married her on August 18, 1984. Together they danced their way across Texas and many other wonderful places. They made a promise to be married until one of them laid the other in the arms of Jesus, promise kept. Mark was a strong believer in marriage and served in ministering to others always encouraging partnership, spiritual intimacy and the desire to pursue God together.
Prior to opening and operating his own businesses, Novus Autoglass and 5 Star Glass and Sign Design and 5 Star Muffler, Mark was an operator for Formosa Plastics and a Research and Development Technician for Data General.
Mark is survived by his wife, his parents and his children Trisha Dean, Robert Dean, Tiffany Dean Cunningham (Sam) and Steven Abel Dean (Claudia). Mark was also PaPaw to his beautiful grandchildren, Jaslyn Dean, Aleyah Dean, Layla Dean and Abel Alan (AJ) Dean. Mark was fondly considered the irritant brother to Denise Dean of San Antonio, Roger William Dean, Jr, (Ashley) of Dripping Springs and John Dean (Brenda) of Seattle Washington.
