

Miguel Medrano, 58 of Victoria passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2016 with his family by his side. He was born October 9, 1958 in Victoria, TX to Felicitas Casillas Medrano and the late Fidel Medrano. He was a truck driver and a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Miguel served his country in the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his wife, Margie Ruiz Medrano of Victoria; mother, Felicitas Medrano; daughter, Caniece A. (Tony) Thomas of Alabama, Chaney A. (Jeremy) Serenil of Victoria; son, Christopher A. (Yolanda) Medrano; sisters, Minnie (Tony) Padilla, Rosalinda (Oscar) Ramirez; brother, Fidel (Lucy) Medrano Jr and brother-in-law, Tom Ritchey all of Victoria and seven grandchildren.
In addition to his father, Miguel was preceded in death by his sister, Yolanda Ritchey in July.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Rosewood Funeral Chapels from 5-7 PM with a rosary to be recited at 7 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 1 PM on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Graveside services with full military honors under the auspices of the Victoria Veterans Council will take place at the Noble-San Jose Cemetery in Fannin.
Pallbearers will be Tony Padilla, III, Gage Ritchey, Miguel Ramirez, Fidel Medrano III, Rick Pena, Joe Bustos, Jonathan Ruiz and Dion Ruiz.
