

Mildred Katherine Rueter Heinold, 98, of Victoria, passed away February 19, 2017. Mildred was born December 26, 1918 in Victoria to the late John and Helena Beck Reuter. Mildred married Clarence Heinold Sr., on March 19, 1936. Mildred was active in the Senior Citizen’s Center in Goliad and a member at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Goliad.
Mildred is survived by her son, Clarence Heinold Jr. (Donna) of Victoria; daughters, Dorothy Waltersdorff of Victoria, Jeanette Laging (James) of Gonzales, Nancy Sowell (Tom) of Victoria; 16 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren and 36 great-great grandchildren.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband; brothers, William, Albert, Baltazar, Arthur, Johnnie, Clarence and James Rueter; sisters, Lucy Wagner, Emelia Heibel, Lena Berger; great-grandchildren, Cameron Heinold, Elizabeth Heinold and great-great grandchild, Heath Gisler.
A visitation for family and friends will be Friday, February 24, 2017 from 5-7 PM at Rosewood Funeral Chapel.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 10 AM at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Goliad with Pastor Randy Bruno officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Meyersville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Brian Heinold, Billy Waltersdorff, Rodney Gisler, Michael Laging, Mark Heinold and Scott Gisler.
The family appreciates the loving care provided to their mother by Twin Pines Nursing Home and Hospice of South Texas.
Memorial donations may be made to Goliad County Sr. Citizen Center, Hospice of South Texas or St. John’s Lutheran Church (Goliad).
