Noemi Y. Flores

Noemi Y. Flores, 74, of Bloomington passed away Sunday, November 24, 2013. She was born March 12, 1939, in Pharr to the late Librado and Francisca Garcia Ybañez. Mrs. Flores was a seamstress and owned Mimi’s Boutique in Bloomington for several years. She was also a bus driver for the Bloomington Independent School District, and taught night school for many years. Noemi was a member of Bethel Assembly of God in Port Lavaca.

Survivors include her daughter, Sylvia Flores of San Antonio; son, Joel Flores and wife, Pam of Bloomington: sisters, Rachel Rodriguez of Waco and Sara Acevedo of Red Oak; brother, Daniel Ybañez of Bloomington; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Mateo M. Flores.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 pm Sunday, December 1, 2013, at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. A prayer service will begin at 4:00 pm.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Monday, December 2, 2013, at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. Burial will follow in San Jose Cemetery.
