Rosa Perez Gomez

Rosa Perez Gomez, age 84 passed away on Monday, July 21, 2025. Rosa was born February 17, 1941 in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico to the late Maria Pura Garcia Perez and Pablo Perez, Jr. Rosa was a homemaker and took care of her family throughout the years and enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved to sew, customize wedding dresses and dance. She enjoyed watching her novellas and was proud of her grandkids. She was always very friendly and loved to talk to everybody.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025 from 5-7pm, with a rosary beginning at 7pm. Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Friday, July 25, 2025 at Colonial Funeral Home, with burial following at Resurrection Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Martin Rios, Larry Perez, JJ Perez, Domingo Estrada, Eugene Perez and Elliot Perez.

She is survived by her sons, Steve Gomez (Gloria), Johnny Joe Gomez and Daniel Gomez (Consuelo); 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; siblings, Joe Perez (Dorothy), Paul Perez (Grace), Jesse Perez (Estella), Aurora Trevino and Alex Perez (Irene); and sister-in-law, Frances Perez.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Pablo Perez Jr. and Maria Pura Garcia Perez; husband, Gonzalo V. Gomez; brother, Ernest Perez; and nephew, Edward Perez.
