Travis Vollmering

Travis Eldon Vollmering, 78 of Victoria passed June 30, 2013. He was born September 28, 1934, in Hebbronville to the late Fritz Christian and Edna Yates Vollmering. He was a member of the Inez Baptist Church in Inez, Texas. Travis was an adventurous and successful entrepreneur. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and his family.

Travis is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joan Henderson Vollmering of Victoria; daughters, Vanessa Scheumack and husband, John, Tammi Best , Laura Stehling and husband, Nelson all of Victoria; sons, Shawn Vollmering and wife, Bonnie, and Chris Vollmering all of Victoria, Travis Vollmering II of Orange Grove; sisters, Virginia Weeks of Marville, Washington, and Lona Burwell of Bastrop; brother, Fritz “Sonny” Vollmering Spring Branch; grandchildren, Jillian Cudin (Andrea), Paige Scheumack, Fallon Huff (Jason), Shawna Moulton (Daron), Vincent Vollmering, Kaylan Vollmering, Jason Brannan, Tyler LaFour, Alainya Tomanec (Chad), Scott Vollmering, Colton Vollmering, Reed Vollmering, Mason Vollmering, Dolan Vollmering, Heston Vollmering, Mikaela Schrader (Kris), Melodie Stehling, Ansliee Stehling and Jude Stehling and eleven great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sisters, Anna Sims and Shirla Canada.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 2, 2013, from 5 to 7 pm at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. Services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, July 3, 2013, from the Rosewood Funeral Chapels with the Rev. Jack Bourland officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be all of his grandchildren he dearly loved.
