Arvil leaves behind the following family: his daughter Connie (Jeff) Box of Searcy, AR; his daughter Barbara (Doug) Bruner of Apple Valley, CA; his son John (Cindy) Foster of Haskell, TX; his son Doug (Valerie) Foster of Apple Valley, CA; along with ten grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Margaret “Peggy” Foster; and daughter Peggy Sue Buckley.
Arvil was a longtime resident of the High Desert, having lived there for over 80 years and was an active member of the Hi-Desert Church of Christ. He served his country as a paratrooper in the United States Army, followed by 30 years of service as a California Highway Patrol officer.
His burial service will be held at Riverside National Cemetery on September 16, 2025, at 11:15 a.m.
