Berta Aldonza fue un pilar importante en mi formación espiritual en la Iglesia Ebenezer. Todavía recuerdo que, a pesar de los desafíos de la vida, ella siempre sonreía, servía y demostraba su amor por el Señor y por su obra. Su ejemplo sigue vivo en mi corazón. Gracias, Berta. Te extrañamos y honramos tu legado de fe.

I miss you mom! I miss that every time I visited you, you made me Cuban coffee.  Today I made it myself in your honor! with my new coffee pot Yanette gave me for my birthday! I will see you one day! that I know for sure!

Mami was more than just my grandma; she was a beacon of positive quality, kindness, inspiration, and strength.

While she may no longer be with us physically, her spirit lives on in the hearts of many. This recognition is a fitting tribute to a remarkable individual who made a lasting difference on everything she touched.

My grandmother was the queen of selfless devotion! Not only to her family that she loved unconditionally, but all those she encountered. Since I was born, we've had a very special bond. She raised me like a daughter and became my best friend. I'll miss the hours we spent talking and the endless wisdom she shared. While my heart aches with grief, I'm also so happy she is walking in the presence of the Lord. She dreamed of heaven for as long as I can remember. Her kind and loving heart has touched so many people, her impact will last for generations to come. She always thought of others and how to help in the name of Jesus. She was truly a heaven-sent angel, and it was time to go home. 🕊️

This is Martica from Ebenezer back in the day. Your mother was an inspiration in my life. I thought of her very recently, remembering the "damas", the women who blessed me as a child, young adult and made me the woman I am in the Lord today. God bless your families and may her faith in God be your strength.

Always thought about her from time to time.  She was part of my childhood and early teens since we went to the same church which was about 3 blocks were we resided in the South Gate/ Huntington Park area.  She liked children.  She would always say hi to me.  I remember her well and I can say she was one of my favorites  older adults growing up.

Thank you for for being essential in my formative years.

Best grandmother ever! She was everyone’s caregiver, that was her gift. To take care of those around her. She loved and cared for everyone even the stranger (she must have entertained many angels). She was the best hostess, always welcoming to everyone. She was a strong women who loved the Lord Jesus above all! She was a prayer warrior! She will never be forgotten. I love my grandma so much and know that I will be with her again someday. Her desires were that all her family and friends would come to know Jesus the Lord and savior. So I share with you these scriptures: “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God Romans 3:23, “But God demonstrated His own love towards us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” Romans 5:8, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” Romans 6:23, “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus  and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” Romans 10:9, For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation Romans 10:10, “For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved” Romans 10:13
