Bonnie Lee McConnell

Bonnie Lee McConnell, age 76 of Hesperia, CA passed away September 3, 2025 at her home. She was born on May 22, 1949, in St. Petersburg, FL to the late Gordon & Ida Quaif.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents Gordon & Ida Quaif and her brother Thomas Quaif.

Bonnie is survived by her husband John Patrick McConnell (Pat); her 5 daughters Christie, Shannon, Kerri, Patti & Katie; 5 sons in law Steven, Kevin, James, Todd & Randy; 12 grandchildren Steven, Andy, Courtney, Douglas, Sydnie, Stephanie, Samantha, Tayler, Peyton, Brittany, Wyatt & Clayton; 22 great grand children and sister Sonja Sterling.

Bonnie’s family relocated from St. Petersburg, FL to Santa Monica, CA in the late 1950’s. Bonnie graduated from Santa Monica High in 1967. Soon after graduation Bonnie started working for GTE as a teletyper. Bonnie met Pat in 1966 and she knew he would spend the rest of her life with him. When Pat returned from Vietnam in 1967, they were married and began their family shortly after. In the early 1980’s Bonnie & Pat relocated their family to Hesperia, CA. Bonnie & Pat loved the desert and thoroughly enjoyed raising a little farm, which she did raising pygmy goats, pigs, cows, chickens and many horses.

Bonnie was actively involved in many activities in her daughters lives, such as, team mom (softball & soccer), BMX, cheerleading & drill team to name a few.

Next month Bonnie & Pat would have celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary. Bonnie’s biggest love was her family, this is what gave her the greatest joy.

A private family service will be held to honor Bonnie Lee McConnell.
