Carol Jean Leavitt

Carol Jean Leavitt passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on August 6, 1944, she was known for her extraordinary kindness, generosity, and warm sense of humor. She touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Carol is survived by her son, Ed, and was a loving “wicked” stepmother to Dennis, Kathy (d. 2023), Lori, and Joe. She leaves behind nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Her life was distinguished by unwavering devotion to her family and friends, her steadfast faith, and a lifelong commitment to hard work and service. Carol was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved music and played piano throughout her life.

Professionally, Carol worked in banking for over 25 years, followed by more than 20 years of volunteer service preparing taxes with AARP. In retirement, she cherished traveling with her husband of 43 years, Bruce (d. 2010), and spending time with family and friends. She especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren’s music performances and sporting events.
