I will cherish all the memories we had. Aunt larie was one of the kindest women I knew and had such a beautiful heart. I miss you and your memory will never be forgotten.

Dear family, i read through your beautiful tributes to Larie and I know she was y'all's dearest.  I must say she was a deeply caring, hardworking gal. I worked with her at Pac Sci lots of years, and she was always upbeat, friendly, and helpful to all.  Sadly we did not keep in touch, but i have thought about her often over the years.  My heart goes out to all of you. Peace be with you.

There aren't many mom's like my mom. My mom always worked full time but she also always had dinner on the table by 4pm each day. I had friends that loved eating at our house to get a home cooked meal while. She got along with everyone and liked just about everyone. She made sure that we had the best childhood. She always let our friends stay the night and would always let them come camping with us to make sure we had a good time. She was the kind of mom that would 100% go without so we didn't have too. I remember thinking a few years back about all the times she would give us each 5$ to spend at Knott's or at the mall for the day and wondered how on earth she did it. 5$ doesn't seem like much these days but it was a lot back then and usually if we asked she'd make sure we had it. She gave us good advice about boys although we rarely took it because we were stubborn. She NEVER judged us. We could and did tell our mom pretty much everything especially as adults. She never judged anyone really. She was friends with all of our friends growing up and still talked to them on Facebook. My mom would help ANYONE. It didn't matter who it was. If friends or family needed a place to stay or a place to live, she moved them in. She would cook them breakfast and dinner every single day. If you needed a babysitter, she was there. If the kids needed a ride, she was there. You could count on her for everything. I will miss her phone calls and talking to her forehead on video chat since for some reason she never learned to hold her phone right. I will miss going to her house and her offering to cook me a pork chop out of the blue at 1 in the afternoon or a steak, which always cracked me up because I don't eat either but she'd still offer. I will miss her calling me 10 different names (including all of her dogs names) before getting it right. I will miss her calling me to play the guessing game about how cheap she got something for today from Target. I will miss everything about her. 

Larie was in our carpool for many years traveling to Pac sci, we had many days of laughter. When Larie lost her license due to her health I took her grocery shopping a number of times. That was fun as she made everything exciting and fun. She loved Chuck and her family so much. She was the sweetest person with an infectious smile. RIP my friend you will be missed.

Although you lived at the other side of the world and I only got to visit once you made me so welcome and lucky for me you came to  visit us in England a couple of times bringing  the cutest grandad daughter with you we had the nicest time chatting about our families , I  will love and miss you always my beautiful cousin

We all meet Larie through Christy and she was such a warm caring person. She was always there for all of her kids and grand-kids. We are so glad we were able to meet her. I know that she will be truly missed by all but never forgotten. R.I.P. sweet Larie

The aunt that I could tell anything to, the one that knew my secrets, the one that kept them.  The excitement she had as she would see her home fill with family. 
One moment that I will cherish forever, would be the time my parents and I drove down to visit, I wasn’t in good shape mentally or physically, she immediately had me lay on her lap as she rubbed her hands through my hair to comfort me. So many more memories but she put me before herself that day. She took care of me, when she didn’t have to. I’ll love you forever and miss you until I see you again. ❤️

The sound your slippers made walking from a distance.
The way your little hoop earrings dangled in the sun.
The smile of a beautiful soul.
The voice of generosity.
The hugs of a pure heart.
The wisdom of a mother.
The late night phone calls of a friend.
Larie, you will be missed and remembered from people who loved you from afar.

My last memory of my cousin was in the famous Cavern Club in Liverpool. I took Larie and Chuck there and they drank and danced like teenagers. This is how I want to remember her , laughing and dancing around with the love of her life. 

Larie will live in our hearts forever!!   I am so sorry for the great loss to the Rodgers Family!    All of my memories about Larie take me back to Hawthorne Ca when we were all living the California dream--  parties, going to the beach, playing pool at Larie' s house etc. I joined the navy and travelled the world while Larie and Chuck started raising a family. Our lives took us in different directions and thus we were not able to stay close. Thank you Larie , you filled all of us in your own special way. You will never be forgotten!

I met her when I was 14 years old. When I went back to California to visit my family. Instantly  I fell in love with her. She was the most sweetest and kindest person I ever met. She never said a bad thing about anyone. She introduced me to Peanut butter and toast with a cold glass of milk. We've always stayed  touch over the years. The last time I saw her was when I took my dad back to California and we stayed with Chuck , Larie and my brother buddy, that was in October of 2004. Larie will deeply be missed by her family and friends. Rest in paradise Larie..
Until we meet again! My prayers and condolences go out to my nephew, her children,  grandchildren and 
 her family.

She always made me smile. She was a good person and a good mother. She will be missed. 

My wife Larie, was the kindest, most loving, caring person I’ve ever known or will know. We married February 5, 1977. That was the best day of my life. Larie dedicated herself to her family. She was so proud of our 3 kids, Toni, Christina, and Josh. As well as our 11 grandkid’s their wives/husbands, and our 4 great-grandkid’s. she was the epitome of a wife, mom, Grammy, and friend. She always, without fail, put everyone’s needs before hers. I love and miss you with all my heart Baby, There will always be a void in my life. You truly are my everything Baby.
