Juanita Raimo was born in Newark, NJ. On June 12, 1930. She was the second daughter of Griggs and Lucretia F Counts(Parker). She was one of five children; three girls and two boys. She graduated from South Side High School in Newark and soon there after attended nursing training receiving her Licensed Vocational Nurses Certification. She practiced nursing for 20 years in area hospitals mostly treating the very sick in ICU/CCU units. Shortly after obtaining her Nurses License she married Albert Raimo of Newark and started her family. They raised three girls and two boys in East Orange NJ prior to moving to CA in 1974. Before retiring at age 71, she worked in Los Angeles, San Gabriel Valley, and Orange County medical facilities as a Medical Records/Ward Clerk. She enjoyed Cooking, Sewing, Gardening and Crafts before her Arthritis pain hampered her mobility. After suffering a decline in health she moved from her home in Adelanto to Sterling Inn, Victorville, CA where she resided for the past two years making many new friends and enjoying most recently “Chair Yoga” class. Juanita mostly enjoyed spending time and visits with her family and lifelong friends. She will be missed by many. Mourning her loss are her 4 Adult Children(a Son predeceased), 12 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends. This includes her Sister Yvonne Lowen, East Orange, NJ and Anne Theresa Chisholm, Cape Coral, Fl., Her life long best friend.
Memorial Services are planned for February 16th, 2019 at 1:00pm at Calvary Chapel, Victorville.
