

Lloyd Owen “Sonny” Williams, 75, of Hesperia, California, passed away on August 26, 2018.
He was born in Santa Ana, California on August 24, 1943 to Lloyd and Eleanor Williams.
Lloyd grew up in Long Beach, California and graduated from Millikan High School in 1961.
He loved the beach and was an excellent surfer in his younger years. He also loved to dance. But what he loved most was his homing pigeons. He enjoyed racing and flying them his whole life. He belonged to different pigeon racing clubs throughout his life. In recent years he was a member of the Apple Valley Pigeon Club.
He was drafted into the US Army and was a proud Vietnam Veteran. After his tour of duty was over in late 1968, he returned home and was hired at Pacific Tube Company, in Los Angeles, until his retirement.
Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Eleanor, his wife Barbara, and a sister, Kathy Valenzuela.
He is survived by his sister Debbie Williams (Dave), four children, Wendy Jackson (Kevin) of Henderson, Nevada, Eric Williams of Hesperia, California, David Williams (Natalie) of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Dennis Williams (Michelle) of Henderson, Nevada.
Six grandchildren, Tiffany Williams, Dominic LaRosa, Taylor Jackson, Nikki Jackson, Kaden Williams, and Reagan Williams.
Two nieces, Mimi Williams and Angela Espinosa.
Four nephews, Lance Valenzuela, Shon Valenzuela, Jason Valenzuela, and Jesse Valenzuela Jr.
A celebration of life will be held at Desert View Memorial Park, September 22, 2018 at 3pm.
