It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Ann (Hutchins) Gibson announces her passing on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 after an extended illness. Mary was born in Savannah, Georgia on April 16, 1944 to the late Charlie and Lucy Hutchins. She entered into holy matrimony to John Gibson, Sr. on November 28, 1964. Mary traveled extensively as a military spouse having Germany as one of her most cherished destinations. Red was her favorite color. She loved God, her family, shopping, clocks, and wearing beautiful hats. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, sister, Minerva Hunter; brothers, Arthur and Paul Hutchins; and brother-in-law Stanley Gibson.
She leaves to mourn her loving and dedicated husband of fifty-two years John Sr.; two daughters Johnceia Connors (Victorville, CA), Johnnetta Gibson (Highland, CA) and one son, John Gibson Jr. (Victorville, CA); Brothers, Wesley Hutchins (Hampton, GA) and Lacy Hutchins (Savannah, GA); ten grandchildren, Jordan Gibson (Christina), Hollynn Jaradi (Roy), Chase Gibson, Courtney Connors, Lorene Connors, Madison Gibson, Giorgio Connors, Chloe Gibson, Aidan Gibson, and Noah Gibson and one great grandchild (Greyson Miles Gibson); mother-in-law, Pattie Gibson (Rocky Mount, NC); brother/sister-in-laws: Rev Conrad Gibson (Donnie), Dover, Pa, Zakiyyah (Frances) Gibson of Kinnelon, NJ;, Dorothy Battle (Rev Charlie); Nashville, NC, Rev Carolyn Cooper (Clarence), Warrenton, NC, James Gibson (Rita), West Orange, NJ, Ronald Gibson (Patricia), Leesburg, VA, Denise Williams (Daniel), Rocky Mount, NC, Mark Gibson (Esther), Greenbelt, MD; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Please join us in celebrating her life. The viewing will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2018, from 4 pm to 8 pm, at Desert View Memorial located at 11500 Amargosa Road Victorville, CA. the Rosary will begin at 6 pm.
The funeral mass will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 10 am located at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, 13230 El Evado Rd, Victorville, CA.
