Mike Waters

Michael John Waters 63 of Apple Valley, Ca went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday Aug. 5, 2020. Two days before his 64th birthday. Mike was “Uncle” Mike to many whether blood related or not. He will be best remembered for his huge heart, bear hugs and the best fried chicken anyone ever made. Mike loved working on cars and going shooting at the Apple Valley Gun Club. Most of all he loved watching Cay Cay race in his BMX competitions. Mike worked in construction for many years before a serious foot injury forced him into an early retirement. He was a proud member of Teamsters Local 166 and Apple Valley Gun Club. Mike is preceded in death by Father Ray Waters, Mother Ruby (Egeberg) Waters and Nephew Joshua Waters. “Uncle Mike" is survived by his best buddy and great nephew Caiden Gerra and Niece Chelsea Waters of Apple Valley CA. He is also survived by brothers Gale Waters of Maryville TN, Vincent Waters of Newberry Park Ca, Jeff and Joe Waters of Apple Valley Ca. Sisters Sandy (Mike) Park and Sharon Waters of Apple Valley Ca. Mike is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews as well as several great nieces and nephews. Mike Waters was a big man in stature but the size of his heart, sense of humor and personality far exceeded the size of his physical being. A private family Memorial was held on Monday August 10, 2020. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday September 5, 2020 at his brother Jeff’s home at 2:00 pm.
