Pamela was born and raised a California girl. She lived in Southern California her entire life. She was married three times, but her last husband, Martin, proved the old adage: the third time is a charm. She had three children as well, and then eventually three step children to also take care of, which she did.
Pamela was a woman that loved her children and her husband more than anything else in this world. She was full of love for them all the time. She loved all of her family. That really showed as she and her husband Martin enjoyed hosting family gatherings like Thanksgiving and Christmas at their home in Hesperia for many years. She would be cooking and baking all day while Martin did the decorating. The driveway would be packed with all the cars the family traveled to get there in, which showed how much the family loved Pam!
She was a wonderful mother to her three children, Robert, Leanne, and Phillip, and also step-mom to Martin’s three children, David, Jon, and Amy. During times through their youth, they all lived under the same roof in a very Brady Bunch fashion. She and Martin did anything they could for their kids. In fact, she once rode a tall roller coaster at Magic Mountain, even though she was terrified of heights, just to prove to her kids that she loved them. She would do anything for her kids.
Her favorite pastime, besides ice cream, was just spending time with her husband. She loved Martin so much that she preferred nothing more than to just be with him. There were several years while Martin was a truck driver, that she just rode with him around the country, just to be with him. She and Martin stuck together, even in the hard times. They were married 32 years ago this last February, and still weren’t tired of each other!
Several years ago, Pam was diagnosed with type 2 bi-polar disease. Type 2 unfortunately means none of the highs, and lowest of the lows. Because of this chemical imbalance in her brain, she sometimes suffered deeply in this life due to her affliction. It is with this knowledge that some of us should be able to say goodbye a lot easier, knowing that she’ll never have to suffer another day from that awful sickness. She is at peace.
She always loved her life and wouldn’t have wanted to live it any other way, with the exception of the sickness. Pam was very religious in later years and truly believed in the Heaven beyond this world and was excited to experience what comes after this life. She will be loved and missed by everyone who she knew and loved, and by everyone here today. She lived her life in such a way that, on April 26th, Jesus was waiting at the gates of heaven to personally welcome her in. Welcome home Pam. Welcome home.
