She was a lifelong resident of Vinton and a 1950 graduate of Vinton High School. Granny was employed with CPSB as Cafeteria Manager at Vinton High and was later an aide at Vinton Elementary. She was a lifelong member of Welsh Memorial United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years. Bobbie was a member of the Vinton Order of Eastern Star. Granny enjoyed spending time with her family fishing and camping, especially on their house boat. Some of her hobbies included: traveling, crocheting, gardening, canning, and spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids.
Those left to cherish her memory are: her daughters, Cindy Granger of Vinton, Carolyn Simon (Ray) of Hamshire, TX, and Linda Beth Keeling of Vinton; her grandchildren, Van Granger (Cara), April Nunally (Anthony), Shane Courville (Lesliee), Philip Granger (Tyffani), Emily Dalfrey (Joey); 11 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and numerous step grand, great grand, and great-great grandchildren; her sister, Lillie Belle Fontenot (Richard); and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bud Granger; her mother, Estelle Webber Stokesberry (John); her father, Edward Hudson; her sisters, Dorothy Jeane Kuebodeaux and Melba Erbelding; her son-in-law, Evans Courville; her father & mother in-law, Clarence & Kate Granger; her sisters-in-law, Evelyn Benoit & Pat Allen.
Granny's funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Welsh Memorial Methodist Church in Vinton with Pastor Rick Watson & Pastor Rob Tibbitts officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service in the church. Burial will follow in Niblett's Bluff Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton.
