VINTON- Carolyn Sue Granger, age 81, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2017 in Lake Charles, LA.
Carolyn was a lifelong resident of Vinton, LA where she attended St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, International Association of Theresians with the Journey Woman of Lake Charles, and a member of the Third Order Carmelites. She was a great servant of the Lord while leading a life full of prayer and reading as a past time.
Those left to cherish her memory are; two sons, Richard Granger and wife Connie of Vinton, Brian Granger and wife Marie of Pasadena, TX; two daughters, Bevin Laird and husband James of Vinton, Cara Beard and husband Travis of Vinton; one brother Henry Hebert Jr. and wife Sharone of Mesquite, TX; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Granger; parents, Henry and Loulelia Hebert; one sister, Marion Benoit; one brother, Norman Hebert.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, December 18, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Vinton. Reverend Carlos Garcia will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the Nibletts Bluff Cemetery in Vinton. Visitation will be held on from 5 – 9 p.m. on Sunday, December 17, 2017 with a Rosary at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume on Monday at 9 a.m. until time of service at Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton.
