James Ray McDonald, 60, of Vinton, Louisiana passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023 at his residence. He was born to his late parents, J.D. and Verna McDonald on August 2, 1963 in Orange, Texas. He was owner/operator of Side Line Paint and Body Shop for nearly 20 years, and he was truly the jack of all trades. James enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and anything outdoors. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He never met a stranger and loved visiting with people. During the past times of devastation, he would lend a helping hand to anyone in need, and that goes for any other time as well.
He is survived by his loving wife 30 of years, Angela McDonald; four daughters, Hollye Courville (Porky) of Vinton, Louisiana, Brittany Dommert (Bryan) of Carlyss, Louisiana, Ashley McDonald (Bryan) of Starks, Louisiana, and Magen McDonald of Vinton, Louisiana; brother, Jay Dale McDonald (Connie) of DeQuincy, Louisiana; two sisters, Jean Martinez (Marvin) of Starks, Louisiana, and Pam Corbin of Scott, Louisiana; along with twelve grandchildren, Zoey, Zara, Jax, Brayden, Kayden, Conner, Paizlyn, Kendell, Kenzlie, Hadley, Brantley, and Rylie.
James is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sharon Myers; along with his brother, Tommy McDonald.
