Martha Rene Dupre

She was a native of Edgerly and had been a resident of Vinton for over 60 years. Martha was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters. She enjoyed crafting, flowers, and making rosaries.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Betty Dupre of Vinton; two step-children; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, M.J. Dupre; her son, Dwayne Dupre; and siblings, Leo Smith, Leland Smith, and Johnny Sonnier.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 23, in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Vinton. The Rev. Carlos Garcia will officiate. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton. Visitation will be held in the church from 11 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday.
