She was a native of Waco, Texas and had been longtime resident of San Antonio, Texas before recently moving to Vinton. Ramona was a member of Living Way Pentecostal Church in Lake Charles. She loved to dance and read her bible faithfully. She was a kind and gentle soul to all who were lucky enough to know her. Ramona loved whole heartedly and unconditionally. Her presence here on earth will most definitely be missed.
Survivors include her husband, Julius Alcaraz, Jr. of San Antonio, Texas; her children, Tonya Mendoza and husband, Xavier of Vinton, and George Herman of San Antonio, Texas; three grandchildren, Madison Nicole Alaniz and husband, Corporal Devin Jay Alaniz of Germany, Devin Anthony Mendoza of Texas, and Tatiana Yasmine Mendoza of Vinton; and three great-grandchildren, Nicolas Valentino Alaniz, Vincent Xavier Alaniz, and Jewels Marie Mendoza. She is preceded in death by her father, Roy Beltran; her mother, Pearl Sandoval Beltran; her step-mother, Sara Martinez Beltran; and her siblings, Gilbert Beltran, Pete Beltran, Louis Beltran, Rosie Beltran Herman, Guadalupe Beltran Saucedo, Sally Beltran Meza, and Roy Beltran.
A Celebration of Ramona's Life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 26, in Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton led by Jody Barrilleaux, Celebrant. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the time of service Friday in the funeral home.
