Theresa Moore

Theresa, a Kaplan native, has resided in Vinton for over 60 years, was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and formerly worked for Calcasieu Marine National Bank. She was a devoted wife and mother, who dedicated herself to caring for others. Theresa loved cooking, gardening, attending church, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children, Brian Moore and wife Verneisa of Calgary, Canada, Jody Moore of Edgerly, Donnie Moore and wife Monica of Vinton, Penny Vickers and husband Mark of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Gaynell Hebert and husband Darrell of Vinton; sister, Ozite Primeaux of Arlington, TX; thirteen grandchildren; and numerous great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Donald Moore; parents, Sidney and Arelia Clostio; four brothers and two sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 20th in St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. Mike Barras will officiate. Burial will follow in Big Woods Cemetery of Edgerly. Visitation will be held Sunday, 4 – 8pm in Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton with a recitation of the Rosary at 6pm, and resume Monday at 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
