Mrs. Rono was born in the Philippines on July 18, 1940. She was preceded in death by her parents Conrado Naval and Rogacion Bagtas Naval; her husband Dr. Vicente Narzoles Rono, Jr., her daughter Cynthia Rono and son, Rex Rono. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Alfredo Naval and Emilio Naval.
Mrs. Rono received her Bachelor of Science Degree in the Philippines. She was a registered nurse for many years and owner of several businesses.
Survivors include her children, David Rono, Jennifer Rono, Rhonalyn Rono, and her grandchildren, Cindy Rono and Rodel Rono. She is survived by her eldest sister, Natividad Naval Pangilinan, in the Philippines.
The family will receive friends on Monday, September 8, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel.
A Mass of Christian will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 9, 11:00 am at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
