Obituary of Debra Ann O'Regan
It is with great sadness that the family of Debra O'Regan announces her passing after a brief illness on Tuesday September 29th 2020, at the age of 63 years. Debbie O. was born in Portsmouth, Virginia at the Portsmouth Naval Hospital. She graduated from Bayside High School in 1976. Debbie worked as a server a Shoney’s for over 25 years. Debbie was an active member of her church The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day Saints. Debbie will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 42 years, William (Bill) and their four children, Christina, Michele, Angela (Aaron Dixon) and Joseph O'Regan. Debbie will be fondly remembered by her two grandchildren Edward and Austin. She is survived by her mother Jean Spencer and siblings Kathy and Kenny. Debbie enjoyed several positions in the church throughout her years including teaching Sunday school in the church Primary, as a Cub Scout leader and most recently as the Girls Camp fairy. Debbie cherished her callings with her church and deeply enjoyed serving the Lord. Debbie was an incredibly creative person and had a passion for Halloween costume design. Many family and friends have enjoyed her costumes over the years. She will be remembered as a loving person who saw the good in everyone around her and was always there with a kind word and a smile. She will be missed by all those who had the privilege to know her. The viewing will be held at Smith and Williams Funeral Home on Friday, October 9th from 5pm to 7pm. The Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 10th at 12:30pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 4784 Princess Anne Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23462.
