Very sorry to hear about the untimely passing of my friend Sam.  We were from the same home town and both lived in Tidewater.  We had some good lunches at many local restaurants to which Sam introduced me.  Prayers to his wife Nerissa, as well as to Sam's son and Sam's brother.

I am sorry to hear about the loss of your husband Sam, I was able to meet him while working at Sherwood Forest Elementary School in Norfolk, he was a pleasant man. Praying our heavenly Father grant you peace and comfort during this time and beyond.

My heart is heavy with sorrow at the loss of Mr. McCrickard. We first crossed paths years ago at Sherwood Forest Elementary School and quickly bonded over our shared work experiences and the fact that we both owned the same car model in the same color. Our paths crossed again at Azalea Gardens Middle School, where we were thrilled to see each other and continued to create wonderful memories together. Mr. McCrickard's ability to find positivity in life's challenges was truly remarkable. I will deeply miss him. May God be with you and bring comfort to your hearts during this difficult time.

I had the privilege of working closely with Sam this past year.  He was infinitely patient with me as a new department chair and I appreciate his kindness.  He was a sweet man and will be missed.  My deepest condolences to his family and my prayers are with you.

I’m so sorry to hear that Sam passed. He was so nice to me when I worked in the Special Education Services Department. I pray for his wife and son during this difficult time. 

I worked closely with Sam for many years, and am so saddened to hear of his passing.  He truly was a king and gentle spirit,  who helped so many families and children with his lifetime of service. I will miss his silly and quirky conversations and his great advice and partnership in our job. God bless the family and sending them much love and prayers for peace and healing. 

Sam will be greatly missed by his friends, family and colleagues. I have known him since his arrival at Norfolk Public Schools. He was such a kind and gentle spirit and always a gentleman. Although often quiet, Sam's insightful comments were right on target. His had a ready laugh even when talking about a difficult situation. Sam was a hard and conscientious worker and supportive team member. He loved to go out to eat and I enjoyed joining him for lunch whenever busy schedules would allow. His presence and contributions will be greatly missed. 

Sam, a fellow school psychologist, was always very pleasant, kind, and friendly.  He  enjoyed working with students, especially those with special needs.  I will miss his pleasant smile and amusing sense of humor.  My thoughts and prayers 🙏 are with his family.

Sorry to hear the news on Sam. Knew him from the tennis courts at Sandusky , classes at E. C. Glass and later becoming friends of his entire family. He loved his class reunions. I have heard from classmate after classmate who knew him. He was one smart guy. Hi to Greg, Nerisa and Bryce.

My deepest condolences to Sam’s wife, son, brother and to all whose life he touched. Sam and I were classmates in high school and in later years we became colleagues, working together at Central Virginia Training Center. After he left the Lynchburg area, we kept in touch over the years. Our most recent conversation was about attending our 50th high school reunion this year. So sorry, he will not be in attendance. Rest well, Sam.

I worked with Sam for over twenty years in Norfolk and he was always so nice to me. We would often talk about college football as he knew that I am an avid Penn State fan. Even though I am no longer working in Norfolk I know that he will be missed. Hoping his family can find peace during this difficult time. 

Sam and I worked together at Central Virginia Training Center. Later, when he was working at Southeastern Virginia Training Center, he and I would always go to Ho-Ho Chinese Restaurant in Great Bridge on days when I traveled from CVTC to SEVTC.  Sam was a great fellow and he will be missed.
