Born in Union Hall, Virginia. Mr. McCrickard was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Lera McCrickard and his wife Bobbie McCrickard, brothers Leonard, Aaron,Willard, Chapman and sister Ruby (Barlow). He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired as an accountant after thirty-four years with Ford Motor Company. Afterwards he worked at NAE Federal Credit Union as a loan officer and board member.
Survivors include his son Bernard McCrickard and his wife Eileen; one grandson Benjamin McCrickard; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 20, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Smith & Williams Funeral Home 4889 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach, VA.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2:00 pm at Smith & Williams Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation.
