Hi, Les. 10 years you've been gone. I know your friends and kids will be thinking of you; dreaming of you; feeling your loving presence.  I've not heard from Cory or Gabe. Morning Dad died, Aunt Donna asked to see Dad's phone. She walked away, scrolled through Contacts and deleted Cory's unlisted phone number. Yes I could've tracked him down, somehow, in 10 years but she's in revenge mode for 'whatever'. She and Dad are textbook Gaslighters. I hope Heaven straightens him out and Donna eventually to show them the degree of damage they've done. You missed out on a lot because of Gaslighting. I never forgot the real you: your love of music, lyrics, Nature, family, mystical mysteries and awesome serendipity. I love this 1970 photo of you, our first year in Virginia Beach. Remember the husband of the A.R.E. lady who didn't want you in his house because you were a Hippy trying to look like Jesus? You loved that leather coat with fringes on the sleeves and matching boots. Dad was so hard on you. He wouldn't allow you any joy. None of us. We couldn't understand why he returned to family if he hated us so much. We talked about it but never understood. That was before we found out he had a vastly different public persona than what we knew of him. I was 44 when I saw his public persona for first time.  Mom experienced it at the same time as me and she had known him since she was 15! I hope you are healing in Heaven. I always thought I could heal when he died but he lives on in everyone he Gaslighted. You are very good at reaching me in my dreams. I appreciate how much you have done to try to correct the wrongs you did to me. I always continued to love you despite harm done. I wish others could've experienced your Heavenly apology. I know you are sad for me and your part in exacerbating the sadness but all that really matters is I know you love me and I love you. My picture of Frank Zappa is in my living room. We're all bozos on the bus.

Les loved music. He read, sometimes with a magnifying glass, everything written on an album cover.  At age 16 he had his own radio show at the USMC base in Iwakuni, Japan.  I miss sharing music with Les.  

So many things went wrong, for too long, without anyone intervening, and people wronged him, as well.  I hate that memories of Les are complicated but I remember him as he was before that all caught hold of his inner being.  I love him for who he had been.   It's ironic that his name is Les because, in fact, he was always more.  

Les's birthday passed, Oct 27th, yet no one took 5 minutes to acknowledge it & let his loved ones know he is thought of.   

We met Les about twenty years ago when he was working for Forest  exterminating  company. My husband and I soon became friends with him.  He was an extraordinary man, so guileless, sincere, honest and helpful. He was always so proud of his sons!  I will miss you Les.....rest easy now and be at peace!  Rose Pianin

Thoughts and prayers are with you, Vicky and family. I'm so sorry to hear of Les passing. It's been a million years since I've seen all of you. Memories are very much alive. How I looked forward to your visits back to Westboro. God bless all of you and keep you safe in his charge.

Sorry we lost touch Les we had a couple of good summers back in 75 and 76, Playing pool, fishing on the pier, good times I'll always remember. October 27th was chosen as the day to have a celebration of Les' life because it is the date of his birth.  Les had a quick smile and positive words to say to everyone.  There is no greater character trait than kindness ... Les was a kind man.  We hope that you will be able to attend the service for Les.  Please leave a few words about Les, for his family.
