Linda Jo Links was called home by God after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She retired from the Virginia Beach City Schools with over 35 years of service. Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Stella C. Links.
Left to cherish her memory is her father, Joseph E. Links; brother, Kirk Links; two nieces; three nephews; two grand nieces and two grand nephews.
Linda dedicated her herself to the support of deployed military and helping abandoned animals. In lieu of flowers she would have preferred for friends to consider making donations in her name to the wounded Warrior Project, Hope for Life Rescue, Inc., (animal support) or the American Cancer Society.
Friends may attend a mass that will be said in Linda’s honor on October 14, 2010 at 8:30 AM in St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 5345 Virginia Beach Blvd. in Virginia Beach. The family will receive friends following the service in the church.
We will all miss Linda Jo and for those left behind there will be a large void in our hearts. She went too soon!
