Linda Marie Thomas

Linda Thomas, a lifelong resident of Virginia Beach, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ejnar & Marie Jorgensen, and her brother Charles. Linda is survived by her beloved sister, Janet Jorgensen. As a child, Linda had many fond memories of living in various places, being the daughter of a career Navy man. She and her sister Janet were always up for an adventure, including camping trips and sharing the small pop-up camper with the family's mini schnauzer. She was always a Daddy’s Girl. Linda loved playing games, especially her monthly Bunco nights, where she developed many special friendships.

Linda was a graduate of Kempsville High School. She earned an Associate’s Degree in Legal Studies from Tidewater Community College. She spent her whole career supporting the legal profession. She had retired from Glasser and Glasser, where she worked in their foreclosure department for over 20 years.

Linda was a Past President of VALS, the association for legal professionals. She loved her VALS Gals and always looked forward to seeing them. Linda also loved collecting butterflies, which became her trademark. Whenever you see a butterfly, please think of Linda.

Linda was very fortunate to have many dear friends who supported her over the years, especially Irene, Mary and Bob, and of course, Brutus, their therapy dog. They were the absolute best !!

A visitation for Linda will be held Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Smith & Williams Funeral Home/Kempsville, 4889 Princess Anne Rd, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23462. Please consider donating to your favorite charity in memory of Linda. A gentle soul, gone too soon.
