Lorenzo Luna Cafuir

Mr. Cafuir was born in Noveleta, Cavite, Philippines on June 22, 1948. He served as a Merchant Marine for more than twenty years and was employed with NGK Locke for nineteen years. He was a member of Salinas Families of Tidewater, Holy Spirit Catholic Church and attended St. Gregory’s and St. Matthew’s Catholic Churches and Day Spring Outreach Ministry. He also prayed with Jehovah's Witnesses.

Mr. Cafuir was a hard worker, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and a friend to all that knew him.

Survivors include his wife, Luzviminda Mirto Cafuir; three children, Laurice Cafuir Tesoro and husband Ronald Jess Tesoro, Lorraine Cafuir and Lawrence Cafuir; two grandchildren, Roselle Dawn Tesoro and Landon Grayson Tesoro; two sisters, Noela Cafuir Lee and Noida Cafuir Gonzales and a brother, Jose Lou Cafuir. The family will receive friends on Thursday and Friday, July 23 and 24 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church at 10:30a.m. Interment will follow at Colonial Grove.
