Norma Jean Connor, 80, passed away on April 29, 2012. She is predeceased by her husband, Calvin W. Connor and her daughter, Deborah C. Bender. She volunteered as a tax preparer for the elderly; and she was a member of Avalon Church of Christ.
Jean is survived by her daughters, Donna and Kathleen Connor; her son, Danny Connor and his wife, Phyllis; a son-in-law, Michael Bender; 6 grandchildren, Dr. Corrie, Matt, Jacob, Daniel, Thomas and Rebecca; and many other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm on Wednesday at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at the funeral home with burial to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
