VIRGINIA BEACH- Col. Ronald George Komornik, USA, Ret., 78, passed away on July 2, 2010.
Mr. Komornik was born in Detroit, Michigan. He retired from the U.S. Army after thirty years of service.
Survivors include his loving wife of fifty-six years, Jeanne A. Komornik, three daughters, Linda Komornik of Norfolk, VA; Carolyn Komornik and John Hatley of Virginia Beach, VA; Mary Boubouheropoulos and husband, Gus, of Virginia Beach, VA; two sons, David Komornik and wife Kelly, of Danville, VA; and Ronald Komornik, Jr. and wife, Terry of Virginia Beach, VA, ten grandchildren, Nicholas, Jonathan and his wife, Aga, Amanda, Kathleen, Emily, Dana, James, Alexandria, Georgia, and Kristin, a sister, Esther Haynack and her husband Edwin of Michigan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, July 8, 2010, 11:00 a.m. at St. Gregory The Great Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
