Virginia Beach - Ruth Anne Patterson, 77, went to be with the Lord on March 25, 2013. She was born on Feb. 4, 1936 in Jacksonville, FL to the late Marshall and Ruth Jennette. After graduating from Greensboro College, Ruth married Percy Robert Patterson. She was an active and faithful member of Community United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. Ruth was a loving and devoted mother and Jamom.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, David Patterson (Carolyn) and Jeffrey Patterson (Julie); daughter, Debbie Sorensen; granddaughters, Lauren Marzetta, Shelley Patterson, and Tori Sorensen; and twin-brother, Marshall “Bud” Jennette (Margie). She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and sister, Dorothy Webb.
