Theresa Madeline Lyons

Mrs. Lyons was born in Reading, MA and resided in Virginia Beach since 1997. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Lyons and a sister Mary Smith. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

She was the beloved Mother to Richard, Kathleen, Michael, Michele and John; loving Grammy to five grandchildren and loving Great Grammy to five great grandchildren; and beloved Auntie to many.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel.

The family would like to acknowledge the loving care provided by Oakwood/Kempsville Nursing Center Staff over the past seven years.

Emily Nguluta works at The Founders Inn where we took our Mother for the past 7 years for breakfast/lunch. Emily and Mom had a wonderful connection and were so endearing to one another. Emily and her husband have a charity that the family would like to include for donations. This is a ministry in Kenya to provide water.
