A MESSAGE FROM THE FAMILY
Albert Duran, better known as "Beto", passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday August 4, 2022. Albert was born on January 26, 1954, in Visalia, California to Henrietta Cortez and Louis Duran. He was raised in Visalia California where he attended Redwood High school. Following High school, Albert enlisted into the United States Army. Albert was stationed at Fort Ord where he trained as a combat engineer for his overseas assignment in Germany. Albert is survived by his children, Albert Duran Jr., Alfred Duran, Deanna Garcia, and Stephanie Barrios. Albert was a loving grandfather of 13 grandchildren. Albert is survived by sisters Frances Torres, Adeline Andrade, Pat Medrano, and brother George Duran. He is proceeded in death by his parents Henrietta and Louis Duran, brothers Gilbert Duran, Robert Duran, sister Carol Perez, and Daughter Yvonne Fowler. Albert worked as an Agricultural Truck Driver most of his life, where he made many friends who became family along the way. Those who knew Albert knew his love for a good barbecue, old school cars, and oldies music. To know him was to love him. Albert sought the best out of others, and always extended a helping hand to those in need. He will be greatly missed by his children, family, friends, and neighbors, but his legacy will live on. Visitation will be held on Friday August 26, 2022, from 4-6pm at Miller’s Memorial Chapel with the Rosary being prayed at 6:00pm. Mass will be held Saturday August 27, 2022 at 11:30 am at Holy Family Catholic Church. Celebration of Life will be held at the PPAV hall in Visalia from 1-4pm.
